Please follow the teachers to the CE Building. Call to Confession Almighty God, even as we have come here to worship you, we also know that we have sinned. We have chosen not to do right, and our choices have created a barrier between you and us. But in your grace, you allow us to confess our sins so that we can once again have a right relation with you. Let us confess our sins. Prayer of Confession (in unison): Lord God, we know you have words of truth and wisdom for us. Your words are true and your way is the right way. But, too often we have blindly chosen to follow the way of this world. We have thought ourselves intelligent and capable of understanding right and wrong, yet we have been wrong. We have ignored your words and commandments. Too many times we have chosen not to learn from you, and we have done so at the expense of our relation to you. Forgive us Lord, for we have sinned. We have sinned in our want to follow our own path, and we have sinned because we have not learned from our mistakes. Help us to turn from our path of ignorance, and help us to turn toward your words of truth and wisdom. Amen. (Continue in Silent Confession) Assurance of Pardon Through the work of Jesus Christ, our Almighty God offers us new life. Let us claim this great gift and the great gift of forgiveness, and learn to live fully and rightly in this world God has given us. Even as God has forgiven us, may we also forgive one another. *Hymn, No. 546 “Gloria Patri” Red Hymnal Anthem “Worship Medley” Lister WE PROCLAIM GOD’S WORD First Lesson Proverbs 1:1-7 Page 382, Pew Bible *Hymn, No. 276 “Great is Thy Faithfulness” Blue Hymnal Second Lesson Acts 10:30-43 Page 1174, Pew Bible Sermon "Living and Learning” Rev.
